Product information
De Andrè’s voice often soundtracks my work here in the studio, among cans of ink and characters. Freedom is one of the recurring themes in his work. The freedom to enjoy simple things, the freedom you fought for, the freedom of thought.
In the album “Le Nuvole” by Fabrizio De André – on the back cover – there is a wonderful quote from Samuel Bellamy, a gentleman pirate of the eighteenth century.
“I am a free prince, and I have as much authority to make war on the whole world as he who has a hundred sail of ships at sea and an army of 100,000 men in the field; and this my conscience tells me!”
